Gray Herringbone Tile Floor in a Kitchen

This kitchen floor is made of long, narrow gray tile set in a herringbone pattern. The pattern runs from the doorway through the work area and past the island, so the whole kitchen reads as one surface.

The room has white cabinets, a dark island with a white top, a farmhouse sink and a wood countertop. The soft gray of the tile works with all of them.

A third photo shows the floor from above, where it meets the cabinets and runs along the wall. No baseboard is in place along the wall in this view.
